Kick played over 75 shows in just under 3 years.
In the early 1990’s, that was a big deal for a local
band who NEVER played a show more than a few hours from
their home base. We didn’t have cell phones, CDs,
Crackbook, MySpace...
(There was NO internet for
that matter)
We made our posters by hand,
distributed our music (on cassette) by mail and booked shows
using a rotary telephone. We didn’t have the “luxuries”
of today and didn’t need them...we had the most powerful
marketing tool in any successful venture, “Word of
Mouth”.
Dream
Kick were 5 different guys who just loved to play music
and entertain...we had sound guys that made us sound good,
a light guy to make us look good and most importantly, we
had a lot of great people
(who we are proud to call friends) to come out and have
a drink with us!
